Rohit Sharma might have been in best of forms with the bat but he was not at the sharpest on the field as India locked horns with Australia in the 3rd and final T20I  at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. Rohit dropped the catch as the ball went high in the air and left him muddled. Krunal Pandya was the bowler and he was seemingly disappointed to see the catch being dropped. However, he ensured that Rohit's mistake didn't cost India much as he went on to pick up a 4-wicket haul.
The incident happened in the eighth over of the match when Pandya was bowling to Finch, who was playing on 22. The Aussie skipper mistimed his shot and the ball went high in the air giving Rohit a lot of time to settle in. But the Indian vice-captain couldn't hold on to the catch and ended up giving a life to Finch. Krunal was unhappy to not have the wicket.
v soon got the better of Finch by sending him back on 28 off 23 and interestingly it was Pandya who took the catch. The left-arm all-rounder then went on to bowl one of the most memorable spells in his career as he took his first 4-wicket haul for India in T20Is. He made D Arcy Short his first victim before removing Ben McDermott, Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey.
Pandya was on a hat-trick when he dismissed Short and McDermott on successive deliveries but was denied a hat-trick by Carey, who he later sent back on 27 off 19 balls. Pandya finished with brilliant figures of 36/4 in his four overs as India restricted Australia on 164/6 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli and co will have to chase down 165 in 20 overs to win the 3rd T20I and level the series 1-1.
